Prickles and Spike:  Our beautiful central bearded dragons. They may look spikey and intimidating, but don’t let it fool you! These spikes are actually quite soft and used more as a deterrent to predators. After all, would you like to eat something covered in prickles and spikes? They are ectothermic which means that they cannot regulate their body temperature, heavily reliant on environmental temperatures to get them moving. They are very intelligent and love nothing more than a big juicy cockroach for breakfast with a side of fruit and vegetables. They love to climb, using their big strong legs and claws and have amazing camouflage with the ability to turn lighter or darker to absorb or repel heat.
